What Is IPC/WHMA-A-620?

IPC/WHMA-A-620 training programme covers accept/reject criteria for cable and wire harnesses/assemblies showing acceptable and defect conditions aided by colour visuals and illustrations and also covers process requirements, making this a stand alone document.

This industry developed training programme provides individuals with a credential that demonstrates their understanding of the document.

Training Course Topics

Module 1 – Foreword, Preparation, Measuring and Testing (Mandatory)
Module 2 – Crimp Terminations and IDC’s
Module 3 – Soldered Terminations
Module 4 – Connectorization, Molding and Potting
Module 5 – Ultrasonic Welding and Splices
Module 6 – Marking-Labelling, Securing, Shielding and Cable/Wire Harness Protective Coverings
Module 7 – Coaxial and Biaxial Cable Assemblies
Module 8 – Harness/Cable Electrical Shielding and Protective Coverings

CIT and CSE Certifications require all above modules to be completed. Upon course completion students receive an industry recognised, traceable certification valid for two years.

Upon course completion students will receive an industry recognised, traceable certification valid for two years based on the date of their current theory certification.

Confirmation of Courses: On receipt of Booking Form with Purchase Order, course fees will be those ruling on the date of booking/confirming training. A.R.T reserve the right to cancel or substitute course dates. The Customer is responsible for all losses occurred for travel & accommodation if the course is altered, postponed or canceled.

If the course/dates booked are cancelled by the Customer four weeks or less prior to the commencement of the course, the full course fees will be charged.

If the course/dates booked are postponed by the Customer the postponement fees will be charged as follows:

10% on 22-28 working days notice from the commencement date of the course
30% on 15-21 working days notice from the commencement date of the course
50% on 8-14 working days notice from the commencement date of the course
70% on 7 working days or less notice from the commencement date of the course

Payment terms: at least 14 working days prior to the course commencement. Prices are plus VAT Post, Fax or Email completed booking form.

In line with data protection legislation, completion of this booking form means all students hereby consent to the photographing of themselves and the use of these photographs and /or recordings singularly or in conjunction with other photographs for advertising publicity, commercial or other business purposes.

They consent to their information being retained (with a guarantee that no information will be used or shared without their express consent). They understand that ART may from time to time send information update emails to the email address they have supplied.

They confirm that ART has the permission to do this and reserve the right to opt out at any stage should they not wish to receive any further communication from ART.

I have been training with ART since 2013 when I attended a J-001 training course to become a certified IPC trainer.The instructors have always been extremely knowledgeable and they have always been flexible with accommodating dates and courses to meet my needs.With their expertise they have supported me to become a certified trainer (and for subsequent recertifications) in other IPC standards.I recently returned to ART for a recertification at their new premises and was very impressed with the facilities.I would highly recommend you use ART for any of your IPC training needs.
