Advanced Rework Technology Ltd (A.R.T.) is currently looking for an IPC and Electronics Trainer to join our award-winning training team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong electronics manufacturing experience, practical soldering and rework knowledge, and a clear understanding of IPC standards. The role will support the delivery of IPC and industry-based practical courses to customers across the UK and internationally.

The successful applicant will help deliver training that supports these organisations in applying IPC documents and standards correctly within real manufacturing environments. This includes helping delegates understand not only what the standards require, but how those requirements are applied in practical assembly, inspection, soldering, rework, PCB, PCA and cable and wire harness settings.

About The IPC And Electronics Trainer Role

The role is predominantly UK-based and will involve delivering training at our specialist training centre in Essex, as well as at customer facilities. Some courses may also be delivered remotely, so good IT skills and confidence with digital training delivery are important.

The position will involve a varied mix of training, technical support and customer-facing work, including:

  • Delivering IPC and industry-based practical courses
  • Supporting course administration and preparation
  • Working closely with the training department
  • Assisting the sales team with customer meetings and trade shows
  • Supporting remote course delivery where required
  • Helping customers strengthen quality, consistency and workmanship

This is a practical, customer-facing role suited to someone who enjoys sharing knowledge, supporting professional development and helping manufacturing teams apply technical standards with confidence.

Skills And Experience We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in the electronics industry, particularly across:

  • PCBs
  • PCAs
  • Cable and wire harnesses
  • Soldering and rework
  • Different component technologies
  • Different board types
  • Practical electronics manufacturing processes

Knowledge of IPC documents and standards is important, along with an understanding of how those standards are implemented within manufacturing environments. Current certification to one or more IPC training courses at CIT level would be beneficial, although CIS level will also be considered. Full training will be provided to the successful applicant where required.

Experience delivering seminars, workshops or training courses would also be advantageous. As this role involves working directly with delegates and customers, excellent communication skills are essential.
