Solder Sleeves

Solder sleeves are heat-shrinkable tubes that contain a pre-measured amount of solder and, in some cases, a sealing ring or flux. They are used to create reliable, insulated soldered connections between wires, typically in aerospace, military, and other high-reliability applications.

When heat is applied, the sleeve shrinks to grip the wires, the solder melts to form the electrical joint, and the sealing rings (if present) melt to provide environmental protection. This creates a secure, moisture-resistant connection without the need for manual soldering tools.

Solder sleeves offer a quick and consistent method for joining wires, particularly in confined or critical environments where traditional soldering may be impractical. Their use is often governed by standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620.
