What Is Practical Training – Course C1 L/F

Advanced Rework Technology Ltd presents training courses for all types of soldering and rework for PCBs. Training is available at A.R.T.’s fully equipped training centre or on-site customised training.

These training courses are regularly updated to include the latest components and PCBs.

A range of components will be reworked – both SMD and conventional components. This course is mainly of a practical nature, beginning with a short talk on lead free alloys, followed by a practical session where delegates will carry out a range of rework operations.

This course is aimed at all staff who need to understand the different requirements of rework and soldering with lead free solder.

  • Solder, flux, and materials
  • Soldering temperatures
  • PCB laminate temperatures limits
  • Methods of rework
  • Inspection requirements

Course Certification & Qualification

Practical work will include:

  • Hand soldering processes
  • Rework using soldering iron attachments
  • Rework using hot air techniques
  • Rework using infra-red techniques

Upon course completion students will receive a certificate of attendance.
